Supervision and Reflective Consultation

Rachel is a Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy Approved Board Supervisor for those seeking the LPC or LPCC credential. Rachel's philosophy of supervision is as follows:  

"It is my belief that participating in individual and/or group supervision provides an opportunity for trainees to grow as clinicians and to better serve their clients and communities. I utilize a reflective lens in my approach to supervision. It is crucial that in addition to the therapeutic working alliance, trainees develop a strong ability to reflect on their own thoughts, feelings, and somatic response in their sessions, as well as develop insight into how their relationship with their clients impact their work. I strongly believe that we do not have to have all the answers, but that our attachment and ability to be present with clients and ability to reflect helps create positive changes for our clients."

Rachel is also able to provide the required Reflective Consultation for those seeking national endorsement in Infant and Early-Childhood Mental Health. Reflective Consultation allows clinicians to process their own thoughts and feelings in regard to their interactions with clients and also the thoughts and feelings of those they provide therapeutic services for in a safe and supportive environment. Supervision and Reflective Consultation are being conducted via a HIPAA secure platform which makes attending supervision with Rachel more accessible throughout the state of Minnesota. Yay!
